Global Presence and Manufacturing Footprint

Wittur operates through a network of more than 16 production facilities and several R&D centers spanning Europe, Asia, and Latin America, supported by over 4,700 employees worldwide. Each facility acts as a center of excellence for specific product categories:

  • Germany (Wiedenzhausen & Dresden): The corporate headquarters in Wiedenzhausen oversees global strategy, innovation, and administration. Dresden serves as the R&D hub for complete systems & drive technologies, focusing on gearless traction machines and energy-efficient elevator drives.
  • Turkey (Istanbul – Dudullu Organized Industrial Zone): Wittur Asansör Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. focuses on complete systems. The Istanbul plant plays a vital role in supplying both European and Middle Eastern markets.
  • Argentina (Bologna): Design, developing, manufacturing, sales and after sales of complete integral mechanical solutions for hydraulics and traction elevators
  • Italy (Colorno, Parma): This site is Wittur’s competence center for elevator doors. It originated from Selcom, one of Wittur’s early acquisitions, and remains one of the most advanced production facilities in Europe for door systems.
  • Spain (Zaragoza): The Spanish plant is a major European manufacturing and testing facility for elevator components and systems, equipped with a dedicated test tower for high-rise and modernization applications.
  • Austria (Scheibbs): Wittur Austria specializes in safety components, including overspeed governors, safety gears, and buffers. It serves as the group’s technical center for elevator safety mechanisms.
  • Slovakia (Krupina): This European manufacturing site supports production of elevator components and structural assemblies, helping optimize lead times and costs for EU customers.
  • China (Wujiang, Suzhou – Jiangsu Province): One of Wittur’s largest global plants, the Suzhou facility produces elevator doors and components for the Asian market. It is known for its high-volume production capacity and advanced automation systems.
  • India (Sriperumbudur, near Chennai): Established to support the fast-growing South Asian market, this factory manufactures doors and other localized elevator components, aligning with India’s infrastructure and real estate expansion.
  • Brazil (Londrina / Cambé, Paraná): Wittur’s South American base serves the Latin American region, producing door systems and structural lift components for both OEM and modernization customers.

Beyond these core manufacturing hubs, Wittur maintains sales and service offices across more than 50 countries, including in Argentina, Poland, and other strategic markets, ensuring proximity to customers and responsiveness to regional demands.
